0612 Gets a Bluescreen
Yes, I totally said 26th at the start. Because I did actually film it on the 26th. It just didn’t look right so I continued editing it for the next couple of days. Basically just a test – I put up my bluescreen using my favorite Blu-Tack and a blue cloth and sit in front of it and do some funny stuffs. Software used: Real-time Chroma Key: Gephex ( www.gephex.org ) Video Edit: Windows Movie Maker Keying my singlet out: Wax

See my first try on YouTube !
))
Thanks for your help !
That’s great! Don’t delete the empty files yet, they may appear fine after you close GePhex!
I personally had success with quite a few formats. AVI with High DIVX should be fine!
Once GePhex gets consistent with producing files, try the various formats, some compress better than others!
Hope to see your work on YouTube soon! =)
Finally i got some files ! Some empty and some not. What format did you use to get files ? .AVI ? .MOV ? Another ? What did select ? High or low MOV ? High or low DIVX ? Or what else ? Thanks for your answer !
Oh dear… Oh well, maybe you can screen capture the output window? That’s a way that’ll work for sure, but I don’t know what kind of impact it’d have on frame rate.
My problem is simple : what ever i try in order to get a file, i fail. I know i am very near to get it, but i can’t get it. It’s so sad.
@GruithuisenCityMan
That’s so sad to hear… What exactly is the problem you’re facing?
Thanks ! I tried what you said every possible way but with no success at all. It’s so sad. I can make incredible things with Gephex and i can’t show them. There must be a way. I will find it. I have to do so. Thanks again for your help anyway.
Two more issues you may encounter:
If you can’t find the file, it’s in the same folder as the Gephex executables.
If the file can’t be opened in, say, Media Player Classic, it’s probably because the stream isn’t closed. Here’s a way to test – Open the video with VLC player, if it plays that means everything’s alright, but you need to convert the file before you can use it with most programs.
I don’t really know what’s the problem you’re facing xD Hope I’ve been a help.
Now click “Start Rendering”
Go over to the command line window of “Gephex Engine” and look at the last line. If it mentions something about the video file you’re probably good to go, otherwise stop rendering, delete the FFMPEG node and start the process over.

@GruithuisenCityMan
I just gave it a whirl (it’s been some time!) and yea, I realised it’s pretty buggy.
So basically you have your chain of nodes that sends its output to the image display.
All you need to do now is first stop rendering (start/stop rendering button – bottom right corner of GUI).
Then add a FFMPEG node, check the “hide” box for the filename and type in the filename you want. Set up the rest of the values to your liking.

Can you please tell me how exactly you do use FFMPEG with GEPHEX ? It would be a very great help for me.
Thanks !
@GruithuisenCityMan
Hi, I used the FFMPEG output. Just put in a file name and you’re good to go!
I can’t remember if I had to convert the final video – I probably did. Had to do so to let it work with Windows Movie Maker
Hello,
How did you record yours results with Gephex ? Using the ffmpeg or the yuv4mpeg2 output ?
Thanks. But nah, I don’t wanna do the usual background beat cuz it sounds terrible =X
Needs more sound! Neat-O!
