why not try this test again but with the hd2 running froyo as well
I personally like using the “Flash on Demand” option in the browser. It’ll show a box for flash content but won’t load it up unless I touch it ^_^ That way browser download speeds won’t suffer from force loading flash content.
disable flash (or keep it on now that 2.2 has officially came out and flash has improved) and the nexus one will dominate both of these so called phones.
remember people. this video was uploaded 2 months ago. things have improved A LOT since then.
@ytgibbo i would go with any android platform phone like the droid x, htc evo 4g (depending on if your town will support 4g) , and maybe the nexus one because its the first to have 2.2
it isn’t a bold claim, it’s a fact. Check out my videos as proof, now being featured. Enjoy.
it’s kinda strange cuz my HTC Desire (2.1 Eclair) browser is much faster than all of these. Do you guys have a slower wireless network speed than me prehapps?
HIGHandFLYandRYE. Thanks for the comment. Is there any chance you could die of cancer in the next hour or two? It would be a help
hmm the sdk version…?
first off opera is not a default browser and it cant be set as one. second please dont quit your day job you apple fanboy. you bring out a three gs. wow your begging . terrible video and i dont like your voice or your tests. STOP doing videos please! your wasting youtube space.
@ytgibbo hes a dumbass all the way
d14ca Yep I know it’s a beta. We’ll see how the final version shapes up. I don’t have an iphone yet – I’m waiting to see how it all pans out with these various phones so I’ve an interest in a few of them at the moment. Flash would be handy in a browser I agree but not if it causes problems. I’m no Apple fanboy – I buy the product that suits my needs best. Sensible eh?
@ytgibbo Its a beta of course it’s going to be buggy….. def can tell you own an iphone eh?
froyo with flash enabled is faster then iphone lol check otha videos
Yep, you can see why Jobs doesn’t go for Flash. Slow and buggy. HTML 5 all the way!
Is the flash installer compatible with android 2.1
Google is trying to conform their phones to the internet.
Apple is trying to conform the internet to their phone.
This dude is such a flash hater. He must be Steve Jobs’ son. Of course the Nexus is going to be slower if it takes the time to actually load flash instead of just ignoring it like the iphone does. Per usual Steve Jobs decides to make a decision for the customers instead leaving it up to us.
Its sort of a shame that i knew more about the phone than this guy did and i dont even have it. research, love, research.
Hey hou did you got pinch-to-zoom on the Opera 10 ?
desire ist the best of allllllll!
one thing to keep in mind, the official final built of Froyo hasn’t been pushed out until this week.
this video of “testing” is void.
another video ought to be made with FRF85B.
fact 1: with Flash disabled (to be on par with other browsers which don’t support it), Android has the fastest browser.
fact 2: with Flash enabled, Android has the most capable browser!
it’s interesting that the iPhone has to go back & forth to see Flash video. what a drag. sorry Apple fanboys.
it’s also interesting that the native browser for Windows Mobile wasn’t used in this. an indication how poor & incomplete of a job Microsoft has done…again.
You sir, are an idiot.
No one needs to be an expert on flash to understand the “facts” shown in this video. Of course, i’m referring to abandonment on mobile browsers. This is not about apple. It’s about Flash and what it still cannot achieve given all the time they’ve had to optimize it. I’m sure you love flash, and will love to get caught in the minutiae of it, but i’m not interested in that. There’s no getting around what this video proves of flash today. This is my conviction, and i’ll agree to disagree. cheers!
