how awsome would this be on a micro netbook, you could be in the car and use the wifi to see movie times, all in a split second. i also heard chrome os wont take up much battery aswell.
dual booting Flow Chrome OS with Windows XP now.
This is how to do it:
download the free EASUS Partition Manager home edition. It’s freeware.
Click on the Partition that you have installed windows xp on.
in the left hand menu, click “resize/move partition”.
Now resize the partition so that there will be 5gb of unallocated space.
click “OK” and it will take a few seconds.
Now right click the new unallocated space and press “Create”
Name it something like CHROMEOS.
now, on a search engine search

I think you’ll find a lot of very good applications for linux that will replace (if not surpass) your current programs. If you can’t, use wine.
looks kind of limiting to me. It seems as if you are limited only to web apps which where the os falls short of its competitors. nice try…but i think google should focus on what it does best.

Meh… the GUI looks kind of like OS X: grayish color palette, rounded edges, and window management features that look exactly like Expose. And I agree with most of you who are concerned with their privacy, they can track everything that you do and the whole concept of “keeping your stuff in the cloud” really scares me. Putting such a huge amount of information in the hands of a single for-profit company is just wrong! I’ll stick to OS X and Ubuntu for now, oh and fuck Windows (and I’m an MCSA).

@DarthLamchop2 Photos, Picasa. editing photos, there are plently of tools on the internet for this. editing docs, zoho or google docs. Not sure about torrenting but i suppose you’ll find something and gaming, html5 will fix that for you and i also heard a rumor of something called Google Games due to them putting out a job for this position a while back
So if you aren’t connected to a network with Internet access you are sevrely restricted on what you are able to do; such as creating documents and using excel as shown in this concept video?
