I don’t have Ableton as an option in Append menu… :-(

Should I download that template from anywhere? Please, comment. Thanks!

Does doing this (specifically, pitch bending) require BOTH the Ableton Live software, as well as the Maschine software?

  3. nakabar August 24th, 2010 12:47 pm

@matzeppo wtf are you talking about?

  4. Bellcity August 24th, 2010 1:11 pm

I’m not able to add Maschine as a control surface in Live. Has this happened to anyone else?

  5. Zwickel August 24th, 2010 1:37 pm

    @matzeppo you make no sense

  6. IRBaboonVideo August 24th, 2010 1:46 pm

Lol at people arguing which is better. The APC40 and Maschine are too different beasts. Get both if you can afford it.

  7. matzeppo August 24th, 2010 2:42 pm

Maschine is a toy compared to live.

  8. sanjac1974 August 24th, 2010 3:17 pm

Would you have conflicts with this and a Novation Launchpad?

I have all the factory sounds from every drum machine made in the last 20 years including the AKAI MPC range with MPC programs and much more all in high quality 24Bit .wav. Perfect to load strait in to your MPC / Maschine or sampler of your choice.

  12. dazeja August 24th, 2010 4:38 pm

HOT Damn!!!! It’s a New Day!

This and maschine may finally pull me over to the side of software production.

Hi, Great video Now where can i dounload the maschine template and how can i load into maschine? tanx!

  14. SnakesMF August 24th, 2010 5:37 pm

i dont think it will work with reason 4 stand alone. might work with fl studio, assuming fl is vst compatible. (dont want to sound like an arse, but i dont think reason 4 is technically a daw…)

  15. PlasmaRain August 24th, 2010 6:23 pm

can you send the tracks that the maschine software has recorded into ableton to control it this way?

  16. ahop89 August 24th, 2010 7:17 pm

Can the maschine control the tempo in ableton?

  17. twiredboy August 24th, 2010 7:44 pm

    not well

Unlike APC40, I can use Machine wiht other products and for various purposes besides just triggering samples. Great concept, short on practicality that APC40.

FutureMusic, often quite shy about bashing products, gave APC40 as seething of a review as possible, while remaining “nice”. They might have as well called it unwieldly, oversized piece of unfinished shite (not in those exact terms, though).

I’m lovin the MASCHINE. Flip to the dark side, DarkShroom – experience the beast

Hi, please can someone help me…I have the Maschine installed, and the software works through Windows and I also have the Live template working but I can’t seem to get the software to open as a VSTI in live, I’ve tried everything – can anyone help? Cheers

Does this box work well with fruity loops 8xxL.?

  21. djholmez123 August 24th, 2010 9:13 pm

I like this machine but wanted to know from anyone using this machine how well does it work with fruity loops?

  22. KidViktory August 24th, 2010 10:03 pm

How would you use machine with a daw like reason 4 or Fl Studio? Do you have any videos showing how to do this?

  23. n8vice August 24th, 2010 11:00 pm

The APC40 and MASCHINE are two VERY different things, each with their own strenghts and utilities. Comparing them is like comparing bicycles to roller skates.

I own an APC40 and love it… but am also considering purchasing Maschine. They should complement each other nicely in a studio setup, as well as live.

  24. fermixx August 24th, 2010 11:20 pm

dude this is just ONE function of it. This is hardware to make music which can also be a midi controller. APC works just as midi controller.

So they are different things. If you want to just control ableton then go for apc.
If you want to make music then go for this one

  25. mutantvisions August 24th, 2010 11:35 pm

Yes, you can also control LIve’s drum racks like any other MIDI pad controller.
