Rane Serato Scratch Live 201 – 1 Turntable Mixing Tutorial

In this tutorial I demonstrate how to mix while using only 1 Turntable/CD Player. This trick utilizes absolute/internal mode switching with the “Input Reverse” button. The video scaled poorly. A higher resolution version can be found here: thepolt.com

the same exact way you load a MP3 file.

  6. wogfun August 18th, 2010 12:53 pm

sooooo not necessary and a waste of money. my pc rocks serato trouble free for 2+ years now.

Well, if you have two turntable,s why not use both of them. While this isn’t particularly hard to do, its not as good as just having two turntables/ CD Players.

Hello and thank you for your inmeasureable help. My question is why you say not to rely on this ? What drawbacks does it have?

  9. theHappyViking August 18th, 2010 2:21 pm

I wouldn’t rely on this. However, it is good to know in case something goes wrong.

    Use instant doubles.

  13. djlouiedon August 18th, 2010 4:41 pm

Stick to 1.8.0,I have the same laptop with the same specs and had no problems, only use that laptop for Serato with your audio files, don’t use internet or download files, turn the wireless off and check if anything else is running at the same time ie: firewall, system update etc.

You can either use 1 cd player or 1 turntable.
