VideoLock is an amazing, yet simple, Cydia tweak that I myself have wanted to have for a long time. I believe that Apple should have added some sort of ability to lock your iDevice but still play the audio. There is a ton of stuff I like to listen to, movies on my iPod included where I don’t might just listening in. If I have seen a movie or a TV show before, sometimes it nice just to have the audio play in the background while your mind remembers the picture. Anyways, thats just me. With this tweak, you can use it to play YouTube audio, and still have your device locked. Your screen is off and saving battery, while you can still play the audio of any music / remixes or anything else in video form. Great for finding that song and playing it in your car or anywhere else. bit.ly Dubspot Instructor and Ableton Certified Trainer Mike Hatsis shows you how to route audio from Ableton Live into Native Instruments Maschine in the first part of this two-part video tutorial focusing on the synchronization and creative possibilities of using Live and Maschine. Routing audio from Live provides a great opportunity for editing and fine-tuning audio loops and samples, and you can also warp and sync samples. In part one, Hatsis explains and demonstrates how you send audio from Live into Maschine while Maschine as a plugin inside of Live. Stay tuned for part two, in which Hatsis delves further into the editing and slicing options inside of Maschine.

I have combined my usual addiction of writing beats with a new little addiction, Minecraft. In this project I have recreated some of the characters and blocks from the game in Ableton Live, and turned them into a step sequencer in which to write music.
