‘Travelling’ live performance – Gina Tratt
This is a live performance I did for a unit called ‘Performance video’ as part of my degree in digital media. I controlled all of the audio, visuals and effects in real time from one MIDI keyboard. I used Ableton Live and Modul8 to bring together the whole performance.

In this video, Irwin Oostindie, Executive Director of W2 Community Media Arts Centre comments on April Smith and Peter Davies’ very first Vj Performance using Isadora VJ Software with skills learned from the Vision Division Residency led by Mia Makela from Finland/Berlin. Mia Makela (Finland/Berlin) works with young Vancouver media artists learning to remix video and live streams for site-specific projections. The participants are under-30 marginalized media artists facing systemic barriers to advancing a media arts practice.
