Hello everyone,
Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a great holiday with family and friends. We also hope that VJ Vault was a useful loop resource for your VJ performances over the holiday season. We would also like to apologize for the downtime. It appears that VJ Vaults popularity has some negative side effects. Over the last month and on other previous occasions we have been attacked by site hacks which resulted in some unsafe browsing conditions. All of this is inconvenient for you and us which costs us money and ruins your visiting experience. We are truly sorry but hope you can understand it’s out of our control. While we will always try to maintain a secure site nothing is 100% safe against hackers who are determined to ruin a good thing.
On a positive note Sean Fleck the creator of VJ Vault and director of the “5 Year Film Project” along with myself have set out to finish the 30 minute demo for an epic time-lapse film. We will keep you updated on it’s progress over the next few months with sneak previews. So stay with us, get involved and we wish you the best in 2011!

BUSK is a site-specific audio-visual work which examines the recontextualisation of sound through an improvised performance composed solely of sounds and images sourced from various London street musicians and performers. Each sound sample triggers the playback of its corresponding visual footage that is then projected onto the performer’s chest in order to alert the audience to the sound’s origin. While the work is interested in examining the aforementioned themes, emulating a traditional busking performance and thus sonically and visually entertaining the audience is central to BUSK’s success.
