The concept was to create a completely original, eye-popping & crowd-rocking audio/visual DJ performance using 100% bespoke material that would push the envelope visually and sonically but also raise the bar of live AV manipulation. The show is the brainchild of a man described by the Scratch Perverts as “One of the most creative forces in djing the UK scene has ever produced!!”. Twice World Champion DJ, Lee Woodvine aka DJ Woody is known for his innovations, he pioneered a host of groundbreaking scratch techniques and helped Vestax design the Worlds first ever musical turntable. For the last decade he’s also been the ‘go-to man’ for the industries most revered producers having toured the States with Madlib (Stones Throw), recorded with Tim Simenon (Bomb The Bass) and is a longtime associate and collaborator of Ninjatunes’ DJ Vadim. Turntables In Technicolor is the fruition of a lifetimes obsession with music and art, previously working as a graphic designer for Britain’s largest independent TV station (Granada- ITV), Woody utilises his televisual design knowledge, vast onstage experience and unrivalled DJ skills to deliver a truly unique experience.
